mum's the word.
Man, y'all really take the saying "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" pretty seriously huh? I was expecting a flood of emails of "your boots are so ugly..." jokes in my inbox this morning, and I'm kind of disappointed that they don't seem to be noteworthy enough for folks like yourself to bother. I even braced myself when I strapped them on for school yesterday and the most I got was a "since they're basically made of rubber, do you feel like you're landing on the moon when you walk?" joke. I suppose my expectations for ridicule were set too high for once.

What I'm wearing:
cardigan: AE
Shirt: Thakoon for Target
skirt: AA
tights: Walmart
shoes: Aldo
jacket: H&M
backpack: asos
This is basically the last thing I bought in DC. We went to a nearby Target and of course I had to browse the designer for section. I have to say, I was pretty indifferent to a lot of the Thakoon stuff, but there were a few good basics. I really loved this beige gauze shirt, especially with the pleating and the buttons going all the way down. I really wanted a pair of these wicked cropped menswear pants but the fit was horrible. Also, I must say, I may never use a purse again. This backpack I got off of the asos website in the men's section for $7 and I use it every day. It even holds my laptop. I love it so so so much. Anyways, I'm off to find a take out menu, slip into my most comfortable Primp thermal pjs, and download Lars and the Real Girl. Ciao my friends. xxoo.

my worn out floral nightgown
Wow, damn girls, some of you are a lot more adventurous than me. Just looking at those wooden platforms makes me to cower into the nearest pair of kitten heels. Well...not really. But they are pretty intense. For those who wanted to know who they're by, I have no clue. I found them on ebay but the pic is hyperlinked and it should take you to the listing. So a few things I gotta mention all at once since I'm cramming for exams, first, this is what I wore today:

What I'm wearing:
Boots: Michael Kors
Sweater: H&M
Tights: walmart
Tunic: H&M
Yes, I'm finally wearing my Kors boots. I know you guys will probably think they're ugly as **** and you're basically right, but I love them dearly despite their hideousness. Plus, my goodness, the traction on these babies? Thank you rubber. I bought this sweater while in DC, I literally had like ten minutes to browse while waiting for our table at the Cheesecake Factory, and I'm telling you, I was like a mad woman in there. Don't throw a girl into a store she can visit like once a year and tell them "hurry up!" That's just cruel and unusual punishment. I fell in love with this sweater when I saw it on Chictopia's Annabel and once she told me it was from H&M, it was game on. It's pretty much the best thing ever. Oh! and that dress/shirt/thing is actually backwards. I hate the front but its so pretty in all its white lace glory and I love it this way. I know I said I had lots to tell you guys, but I reaaaally gotta study, so I'll save those thoughts for the next post. xxoo (except you crazy anons)

stfu
Argh, don't know how many times I'm gonna have to dwell on these petty anons, but I seem to get a pretty big amount of hate mail so I kinda have to address it. Makes the blogging thing such a drag. So I mean, just in the future, I do ask that you guys focus on the fashion aspect of this blog, and please, as much as you may think you're doing a good service (or not), I don't really need advice regarding my hair or body. If you are so offended by my atrocious hairstyle, there are plenty of other amazing blogs that you can go visit, just check out my blogroll. I actually luuuuurve my new hair, I got it done by the most awesome fellow Trini and I think that the convo we had alone was well worth the $150!
So today I get to my morning class with the meekest professor ever who basically whispers all class and kind of just makes other students discuss things instead of lecturing. Today this group of guys is outside the classroom just being obnoxious, loud, annoying university boys, and he goes, excuse me one moment, steps outside and screams...
"SHUT THE F*** UP, ***HOLES."
and comes back in like nothing had happened. Made my life.
I just wanted to show you guys that I found the most awesome future purchases on the most unlikely site...Frederick's of Hollywood!! I know I know, but seriously, check these out:

You're welcome.

I die.
I'm really sorry I've been neglecting the blog so much lately guys, but omg, I found two shows that I've become obsessed with and I've been watching them on repeat. The first is Stylista, and I think I literally just watched it because a) I hated those annoying twats Katie and Megan, and b) Johanna is flawless. Love her fascination with ruffles and structured collars, and I actually really dig her haircut. I knew it was love when she wore the coveted marc by marc alessandra dress in the first episode. Oh, and the other one is the Rachel Zoe project. I swear I will never call her a zombie or raisin face ever again. She is just so cute! I love that despite being surrounded by fashion 24/7, she still loves shopping and clothes. So hard to do, even if you only have a blog. Anyways, Rachel Zoe has amazing taste and she is adorable so lay off world!
Guys, I've bought way too many things lately and I don't even remember whats in my closet anymore. I'll try and dig up some of my target and H&M finds from Washington, but in the meantime, I'm gonna try and re-wear dresses like this asos one that I've worn like once ever. Please ignore the holes in my tights too, I swear I was just going for the grungy rocker look......

What I'm wearing:
shoes: aldo
tights: walmart
dress: asos
cardigan: AA
belt: vintage
oh, and for those who were asking where my dress was from, its from the Fall 2008 BCBG ready-to-wear collection, and although I may regret posting such a skinny, beautiful girl wearing the same dress as me, here it is in action:
